Nearly a quarter of solid waste in Washington State is made up of food and organic material that could be better utilized for our sustainable development. By recycling organic waste into nutrient rich soil supplements, our state can reduce carbon emissions and lower pollution impacts to our water bodies like the Puget Sound.
Cyan Strategies works with local stakeholders to divert organics to regional composting facilities and promotes the beneficial environmental qualities of compost to enhance soils and reduce storm water pollution.
